Yes, FIBA EuroBasket 2025 will be hosted by Cyprus, Finland, Poland and Latvia. Since 2015, FIBA ​​Europe has been granting the responsibility of hosting its flagship event to four co-host countries, thus reducing costs and enabling smaller countries to be able to host this great tournament. A fact that Cyprus took advantage of for 2025!
The FIBA ​​EuroBasket 2025 matches in Cyprus will be held between August 28, 2025 and September 4, 2025 at the “Spyros Kyprianou” arena in Limassol. They will feature six teams in Group C, including the Cyprus National Team, the Greece National Team (if qualified) and four other national teams that will be determined in March 2025 during the tournament draw. Group A, and the knockout phase up to the final, will take place in Riga, Latvia. Group B in Tampere, Finland. And Group D in Katowice, Poland.
Each host country is allowed to choose one partner country, whose National Team will be included in its group, without a draw. The Cyprus Basketball Federation and the Organizing Committee have already chosen the Greek National Team, with the Hellenic Basketball Federation having accepted the proposal. So, if Greece qualifies for the tournament, they will indeed come to Cyprus in 2025 with all their stars, to compete in the EuroBasket!
Cyprus, Latvia, Finland and Poland are participating in the Qualifiers, despite having already qualified for the final tournament, as co-hosts. The games of the Cyprus National Team against France, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia for the Qualifiers are extremely important, both as competitive and organizational tests, ahead of the FIBA EuroBasket 2025.
We will find out in March 2025, when the draw for the final tournament takes place! However, based on the current FIBA Men's World Ranking, one of Serbia, Germany, France or Spain could be drawn in Group C along with Cyprus and Greece.
Fifteen matches will be held at the “Spyros Kyprianou” arena in Limassol, on five different days: August 28, August 30, August 31, September 2, and September 4, 2025. The final schedule will be finalized in March 2025.
For each of the 15 matches of FIBA ​​EuroBasket 2025 at the “Spyros Kyprianou” arena, around 7500 seats will be made available for the fans, a number which occurs after excluding the seats reserved for FIBA ​​sponsors/partners, accreditation holders and media. The seats are divided into six categories, depending on the location in the stand.
From August 27, 2024 for those registered on the Priority List and from September 5, 2024 for the general public, fans are able to purchase only the two packages “Team Cyprus Ticket” and “Team Partner country Ticket”, which pertains to the matches of Cyprus and Greece respectively. Each fan is entitled to purchase six tickets per person.
Individual match tickets, if remaining following the sale of the “Team Ticket” packages, will go on sale after the draw for the final stage in March 2025.

Registration in the Cyprus Sports Organization (CSO) Fan Registry and the issuance of a Fan Card is obligatory for watching all team sports in Cyprus, including FIBA ​​EuroBasket 2025. For non-residents of Cyprus, there is no need to issue a Fan Card. For each of the three matchday games, a separate ticket is required. Following each match, as is the procedure for all major events, the stadium will be emptied for cleaning and preparation for the next match and then the fans will re-enter.
All those who will be watching the matches in person as fans are not only allowed to take photos and videos but are also encouraged to share this unique experience on their social media. However, photos/videos must be for personal use only. The use of professional cameras and tripods is prohibited in the stands. For professional photographers, accreditation details will be announced at a later stage.
FIBA EuroBasket 2025 will be a great celebration for Cyprus and the fans and for that reason in the surrounding area of the “Spyros Kyprianou” arena, fan zones will be set up, with games, shops, catering and much more. Catering areas, with snacks and drinks, will also be available inside the arena. Separately, a large fan zone will be set up in a central coastal area of ​​Limassol (details will be announced soon), for those fans who do not have tickets for the matches and want to watch them on a giant screen or simply want to enjoy a pleasant basketball-themed afternoon away from the arena.
The parking zone of ​​the arena has limited space (approximately 500 spots). There are additional parking spots nearby. In order to serve the fans, and for quick arrival and departure times from the arena, “park & ​​ride” transfer services will be organized from specific points in Limassol.
